Day 63: Half a Orange Bear?

On Monday I was walking from the parking lot to my place of employment...and this is what I seen.  They were unloading these bright orange bears.  Apparently there is a bear exhibit this month.  However, I would like to know why these bears are bright orange.  I would like to know the story behind these orange color bears.  And why they look like they are almost ghostish and can walk through walls.  I should maybe take a trip to the local library to see if there other half is inside the building.  

The one thing about it, if bears were actually that colour, I wouldn't miss them ever!!!  Let me tell you of a time I missed seeing a grizzly bear.  It was back in 2007...a beautiful summer day.  We were going houseboating to celebrate my friends 30th birthday.  I drove with my one friend 'N' down there.  We had another set of friends we will call 'J' and 'P' driving in another vehicle with us down to the Shuswap.  Our car, even though it was only filled with us two girls, was loud...full of laughter and stories.  Because of this laughter and stories we missed seeing a grizzly bear close to Grand Cache.  When we stopped in Jasper for lunch the two guys in the other vehicle were so excited about what they seen and talked to us like we had seen it.  We just looked at each other and said, "oh, it must have went into the trees after you drove by."  They informed us that we were right behind them and there should have been no way we should have missed it.  We however made up for it on the way home...we seen a grizzly, in what I would like to say, the same are as the first one that we missed.  I actually think it probably was the same one.  Had they been this bright to begin with...we wouldn't have ever missed it!!!
