Day 56: 30 years!!

Today we were able to celebrate my sisters 30th birthday with her and her husband.  We went out for a nice supper and then back to my house for ice cream cake.  And, if you notice the cake in the pictures...and nice balmy 30 candles as well!  Those candles were letting off enough heat that no one could complain about how cold my house was...they were warming it up second by second!

My sister is truly a blessing to me.  I could make lists and list of memories of my sister...but I am going to narrow it down to 5 random tidbits.

1.  She is my bestfriend and will always be!  She is there for me whenever I have needed a good laugh, a shoulder to cry on or just a listening ear.  She is pretty amazing.  She must take after her older sister...lol

2.  I think of her wedding day.  The day she married her very bestfriend.  I was able to share in that day with her and N by being their maid of honor.  It was a privilege to be able to stand there and witness their union.  

3.  'We're leaving on a Jet Plane, don't know when we'll be back again'...your singing the song now too.  When we were younger I remember listening to that song in our basement...and L, my sister, running with her hands in a 'jet plane' kind of fashion.  And slamming into a door a little to hard.

4.  Living with L in town before I got my first house.  She was quite the caregiver.  She would make a mean meal.  Even if I wasn't always hungry.  And her Jello...always brought a smile and a chuckle to mine and our brothers face!

5.  She is kind, caring, and has grown into an amazing woman.  Her faith in our God is strong and ever growing.  Even though I maybe the older sister, my sister has been an amazing example for me.
